2016 Korea Wood Design Award kicks off
Korea Association of Wood Culture (KAWC) has started recruiting candidates by holding a series of briefing sessions on the 2016 Korea Wood Design Awards at various universities nationwide. KAWC invited CWK to their briefing sessions and asked for special lectures on the use of wood in building design during the first interim of 2016-17.
Unfortunately, Korean architecture students are barely exposed to wood as a building material during their normal school years due to lack of opportunity to learn about wood
design from their professors and regular courses offered by their universities. During the lectures, CWK along with other wood architects who were invited as guest speakers emphasized the use of wood as a building material and showed various innovative wood buildings in the world.
