2×4 Association Conducts Seminars Explaining COFI’s Large Building Design Guide
Seminars in major Japanese cities commenced this month to explain the tips for designing and managing public/midrise PFC projects. Organized by the Japan 2×4 Home Builders Association, the new seminar series utilizes the newly published large scale 2×4 building design guide as a text book. This comprehensive text was jointly developed by COFI and the 2×4 Association this past year.
The target audiences are building officials of local governments, general contractors and designers who are familiar with public / large scale buildings with concrete/steel structures but have limited knowledge or experiences of wooden 2×4 structures. Following the Hiroshima and Sapporo seminars, Japan 2×4 Home Builders Association assumes Tokyo and Osaka as additional seminar venues. The seminars are co-sponsored by COFI, MLIT and the prefectural governments.
