Mr. Lee of Kwangjang Architects, a well-known architect as ‘Peanut Guy’ who invented a trendy terminology of ‘Peanut Home’ (duplex home), takes the leads to carry out the wood infill wall projects in Korea.  He has completed several low and mid-rise buildings designed with concrete or steel structure with wood infill wall system since CWK introduced wood infill wall system to Korean construction sector in 2012.

Last year Mr. Lee started designing a 6-storey commercial building using wood infill wall system and the building is now under construction.  The concrete structures have been completed and all non-load bearing exterior walls, partitions and intermediate floors have been installed by using Canadian SPF lumber and OSB.

Selecting this project as a Korean Wood Infill Wall demo project, CWK has been coordinating with Kwangjang Architects to develop proper connection details and construction drawings and will provide series of promotional events to expand wood infill market in Korea.
