Codes and standards specialist
Helen works as the codes and standards specialist based in Canada Wood’s Shanghai office. Her main focus is to establish and develop the Chinese local codes and standards systems for wood products and wood buildings. Helen holds a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from Tongji University. She has academic training in the fields of structural techniques, building systems, as well as the international and domestic codes and standards. Helen plays the liaison role in research between FPInnovations and Chinese universities and research institutes as well as the role bringing FPInnovations expertise in building systems area when needed. Helen is also involved in researching seismic performance. She makes contributions to technical training, literature and presentations.
