nanjing-visitorsThis is recently completed project in Nanjing. A local small wood builder built the building used as a visitor centre within an Olympic Park. The elliptical curved roof mimics a butterfly unfolding its wings in the air. High grade Canadian Douglas fir was used to make glulam posts and beams by a local manufacturing factory. The building will be soon open to public and more local people can have the opportunity to appreciate the natural feeling and beauty of a wooden public facility. Canada Wood was not involved in this project.
