Construction begins on Sino-Canadian wood frame industrial park
A groundbreaking ceremony for Sino-Canadian modern wood frame industrial park was held on July 10 in Youxi County, Fujian Province.
The park is slated to be an international advanced processing base for modern wood structures, wood produce and process wooden components.
A 12-storey demonstration timber building, the first of its kind in China, will be built in the park.
A total of 4 billion yuan (US$581 million) has been invested in the project.
Modern wood construction features green, renewable and recyclable materials that have a low-carbon impact on the environment.
