Paul Newman, Chairman of Canada Wood Group, visited Korea at the end of February 2014 and toured GICO-DSK’s Bukhangang Dongyeonjae project site and sales center and had a meeting with Kwang Hoon Lee, CEO of DreamsiteKorea and Kyung Chul Jun, Manager of GICO, to review the progress of the project and discuss further cooperation on February 28.

The 60,000 m2 site is busy with site preparations along with the recent completion of two show homes, a single detached home and a duplex, adding to the two single detached homes that were finished September 2013.  Based on the consumer preferences of visitors and home buyers, the two new show homes have undergone several changes from the original two built in September, including more options for cladding materials such as brick veneer and wood siding as well changes in floor plans.

Having completed all 4 show
homes, DSK and GICO is planning a grand Open House Ceremony in April. Also, excavation for an 820 m2 Community Center began in March and is scheduled to be completed by October 2014.  GICO-DSK is planning another event for the opening of the Community Center at that time.

Canada Wood Group has signed a MOU for technical cooperation on April 30, 2013 with Dreamsite Korea and GICO, and has been providing technical support for design and construction of the project consisting of 141 units of single family homes and duplexes, to date.
