Eastern white pine floor boards?
We have recently forwarded a trade enquiry placed by a UK merchant who wants to source eastern white pine floor boards for a client. While this wood is the perfect choice for furniture, mouldings, pattern making and similar purposes, it is surely too soft for flooring. I wonder if anyone else has seen this wood chosen for flooring and who knows what might have been the reason for its selection. Maybe it doesn’t splinter; maybe it’s the ideal underlay for carpet? Comments welcome.
