Five Elderly Care Projects in June
Japan 2×4 Home Builder Association reports processing five (5) elderly care facility fireproof approvals in June. Typically the association receives about 2 or 3 of these applications per month. However June proved to be an exceptional month – indicating demand in this market segment continues to remain strong. The five senior’s projects in the works range in size from 1,100 m² to 3,000 m², with the average size being 2,140 m². So in the not so distant future will see these projects popping up in Iwate, Yamagata, Yamaguchi, Aichi, and Saitama Prefectures. Since acquiring a Japanese ministerial approval for 2×4 fireproof structures 10 years ago – 108 elderly care projects have been built in this county. And with the slower business activity that we are currently experiencing in Japan’s residential market segment, it is nice to see that this market segment continues to remain strong.
