The Vice Minister of MOHURD is aware of the establishment of the China Association too. Mr. Ni, the General Manager of Crown Home is the Vice Chairman of the China Association, who believes the China Association will play a very important role in the China market. Other than the members, the China Association also has an expert panel, headed by Mr. Yang, from China South West Design Institute.

The China Association is going to provide more knowledge about wood structure construction and to spread the adoption of this method. It also aims at further upgrading performance and quality in line with the wider dissemination of technique, also to build material and distribution networks, improve the supply environment and train technicians and engineers in the industry.

Canada Wood China has been encouraging the industry to form an association for WFC for many years and this launch is the result of those efforts and comes at an important time as the industry is starting to see momentum. The formation of this association is an important plank of the Joint Working Committee work plan that Canada has with Mohurd. The association will be mainly led by industry, with the active endorsement of Mohurd. Canada Wood China will play a mentoring role in the association’s early stages early.
