Gyeongnam National University of Science and Technology (GNTECH) and Canada Wood Korea have successfully completed 3rd annual Wood Frame Construction Training Workshop from June 30 to July 4, 2014 in Jinju city, Gyeongnam Province located in Southern tip of the Korean peninsula.

participated and completed 5 day WFC Training Workshop. During the workshop, students learned wood as a building material, benefits of using wood, history of wood construction, introduction of main wood construction systems and wood frame construction, overview of practical training and several videos such as Michael Green’s TED Talk during 1-1/2 days of in-class theory lectures, and the remaining 3-1/2 days were dedicated to practical training of building 2 wood frame University Based WFC 4playhouses.

This training was sponsored by GNTECH’s Center for Innovation in Engineering Education Center which recognizes this training workshop as one of the most successful programs and was conducted in collaboration with two departments.
