2×4 Energy Efficiency and Site Visit Seminar in Obihiro
COFI conducted a 2×4 Energy Efficiency and Site Visit Seminar in Obihiro, Hokkaido on February 13th and 14th (18 participants) with the cooperation of the support of the Tokachi 2×4 Home Builders Association. Participants, mainly small home builders from across Japan, keenly attended the 2-day program to learn the importance of airtightness and good thermal insulation design for building high quality 2×4 homes. The highlight being visiting four housing sites of the Tokachi 2×4 association members including homes under construction, recently completed and one built 35 years ago. The 2×4 home that was constructed 35 years ago by Okamoto Kensetsu was in outstanding condition and is a great example and testament to the durability of this construction method in Japan. A big thank you to all our 2×4 friends in Obihiro who helped us with this event!
