2×4 Promotion Campaign Reaches 4.5 million

Canada Wood Japan’s campaign to promote 2×4 single-family housing to potential homebuyers continues to grow. Seven years ago, we started targeting a new tech savvy audience by harnessing the power of social media platforms like YouTube and Facebook. To accomplish this, we developed a series of seven animations based on characters and story of the “Three Little Pigs,” reworking the original plot line to have them outline and promote the attributes of two-by-four homes and construction method as safe, sound, comfortable, and environmentally friendly and energy efficient. These “2×4 Prommercials” as we call them, have a dual purpose of not only entertaining, but also educating the viewers in a simple casual way. In August of this year, I am pleased to update and report that the promotion campaign has collective reached and audience of over 4.5 million users on COFI Japan’s YouTube channel.
