Promoting Korea Super-E Standard influences duplex units
Recently I had an opportunity to visit a 2-storey duplex residential light wood frame construction site in Yong-in City, Gyeonggi-do. The first duplex was under construction and will be used for a show-house. A total of sixteen duplexes are slated to be built by the end of March 2019. This duplex housing complex project is run by Mr. Lee, a well known architect that coined the term ‘Peanut House’ in Korea. Interestingly Mr. Lee asked Canada Wood Korea to provide technical support to this project so that all duplexes could be officially registered to Canadian Super-E House. Once completed, this project will be the first Super-E duplex housing complex in Korea.
Architect Lee decided to design each duplex to the Super-E standard so give this real estate project a marketing edge. The project uses Canadian SPF lumber and Canadian OSB.
