Canada Wood Japan’s campaign to promote 2×4 single-family housing to potential homebuyers continues to gain traction online in the digital age. Currently, YouTube (62M Japanese subscribers) and Facebook (28M) have a combined monthly user base of 90M active users in Japan. Five years ago, we started targeting these social media platforms to promote 2×4 housing to consumers via a video animation series we created for this purpose based on the story of the “Three Little Pigs”. The goal of this online promotion is to educate prospective buyers on the advantages and benefits of 2×4 housing so they are informed when they decide to build or purchase a new home. This past year while many worked remotely and stayed safe at home, Canada Wood Japan/COFI experienced an uptick in interest in our online social media campaigns. As a result, we have now reached 2 million on COFI Japan’s YouTube channel via the animation series, and 120,000 online with our Facebook digital communication and 2×4 contest campaigns.. Three Little Pigs 2×4 animations series on YouTube.
