Canada Wood Group is recruiting its next President.
The President of Canada Wood Group provides strategic leadership and serves as the organization’s senior representative with governments, industry and international partners on behalf of Canada’s forest products sector.
Working with the Board, the President will help shape CWG’s direction, support effective governance, advance long-term funding, and build relationships that strengthen overseas demand for Canadian wood products. This is a highly external and relationship-driven role, with a strong focus on strategic leadership, funding stewardship, government and industry relations, advocacy, industry alignment, and international representation.
The President will also lead CWG’s senior government relationships and funding strategy, work closely with member companies and industry associations across Canada, and represent CWG with international stakeholders, Canadian embassies and trade commissioners.
We are looking for an established industry leader with exposure to export activities, a strong understanding of industry perspectives, and core knowledge of non-profit operations and public funding management. The successful candidate will bring the credibility, judgement and relationships required to represent CWG with governments, industry leaders and international partners.

Engagement: Part-time contract, averaging two days per week
Location: Vancouver / British Columbia-based
Travel: International and within Canada
