Let’s celebrate! On January 12, 2023, the Canadian Embassy pulled out all the stops to honor a significant milestone – the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Canada and Korea. It was a day filled with pride, reflection, and excitement for what the future holds.

For six decades, Canada and Korea have forged a bond that is both unbreakable and inspiring. From cultural exchange programs to economic partnerships, our two nations have found common ground based on shared values and interests.

The event was nothing short of spectacular. South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin and the embassy’s Charge d’Affaire Tamara Mawhinney took the stage to deliver powerful speeches that left the audience in awe. They emphasized the crucial role of a comprehensive strategic partnership in shaping the future of Korea-Canada relations.
