Canada Wood staff are collaborating with our customers in Japan to brand and expand Canadian wood products used in the non-residential market segment. A recent example of this collaborative work is a new promotional video clip that features wooden office buildings constructed using the two-by-four construction method. The video clip is about 5 minutes long and features four distinct offices designed and built by Dainihon Wood-Preserving Co., Ltd. in Kagawa Prefecture (2-storey & 344 m²), Dairi Forest Products & Construction in Tokushima Prefecture (2-storey & 619 m²), Mitsui Home Co., Ltd. in Kumamoto Prefecture (3-storey & 974 m²) and MoNOplan in Nagano Prefecture (4-storey & 397 m²). The video highlights that these offices were constructed with Canadian SPF, OSB and other North American EW (TJI, LSL, LVL) wood products as well as promotes the fact that these buildings are energy-efficient, resilient, and by using wood we can help and contribute to building a carbon-friendly economy.
