As South Korea moves down the road towards carbon neutrality, the government is pushing the construction sector towards net-zero practices by strengthening standard development plus legislating building code adoption and enforcement. To help experts and novices alike, Canada Wood Korea, in collaboration with Korea Wood Construction Association (KWCA) released an updated technical guidebook combining the 5-star certification manual and Super E® Certification standards.

Reflecting recent changes in Korean codes, the new manual offers a comprehensive collection of up-to-date information on structural integrity, prevention of water intrusion, proper installation of insulation, airtightness, moisture and condensation control and durability.

The new book will be distributed to KWCA member architects and builders. The Korean market is evolving rapidly to embrace low energy solutions and this new manual is designed to support design and build professionals. Contents will also feature in training materials for KWCA members, its 5-Star inspectors and Super E® workshop participants.
